As of this morning, I've run 8 out of 10 days. Not quite 10 days in a row, but I had a good excuse for the 2 days I didn't run. Both days were days where I had to drive a lot, and I felt there was no way that I could stay awake on the road if I got up early.
My running continues to go well. I'm enjoying the slow, relaxed pace.
My headlamp is essential gear right now. Except on Sundays, all my runs begin in mostly dark conditions. Fortunately, by the end of the run, the sun has come up.
My feet were a little more sensitive than usual this morning. I'm not sure why, but it seems that this happens from time to time, where they are more sensitive for some unknown reason. I still have a hard time imagining how my feet will ever be in condition for a half marathon, but I'm sure it will happen in time.

That's a good % of running. I am getting more consistent, but it's hard in this hot FL weather :(
I just joggled a 5K in the neighborhood at 3pm and it felt harder than the marathon I joggled in Feb!
Are you going to joggle a marathon? Come do the Pensacola Marathon and enjoy the beaches we have to offer... Feb 15th.
Joe -- If all goes well, I will do a half marathon this Fall. I'm not sure if I will be able to joggle it or not, but I'm going in that direction. Boston is the long term goal.
Good to hear it! Half's are good. I had a great time joggling a half before the marathon in Feb. Good luck and let me know if you have any Q's about joggling it.
Joe,
My big question is whether or not I will ever become a competent joggler. I'm still not convinced that I can do that.
Can you do the 3 ball cascade very solid? Without looking directly at the balls? If so, then you should be on your way to a good joggler, once you get used to joggling while looking forward and not directly at the balls. It'll get there. Maybe you could make a video of your joggling, or do a blog on the problems you are encountering.
Joe -- That seems to be the problem. As soon as I look beyond the balls, my 3 ball cascade begins to fall apart. There are times when I can juggle with just my peripheral vision, but it's pretty sporadic. I think it's probably a matter of doing a lot more practice.
Yeah, that seems to be the problem. Getting that 3 ball cascade down solid is imperative. A little practice a day goes a long way, in deed. Good luck!
Joe -- I suspect the type of practice I'm doing is wrong. I've done a lot of practice over the last few months, but I don't think I've been practicing enough with my peripheral vision.
That's true. It's a different kind of practice. Just practice looking around while doing the 3b cascade, focusing on different objects and spots of a room or something.
Joe -- I've done some practice like that, but not nearly enough of it to become proficient.
