My Garmin speed records keep falling. I got down to a 4:18 pace last Sunday, and got down to about 4:30 Thursday. I think Sunday I will try doing 10 1 minute intervals where I get slightly under a 7 minute per mile pace. I did 4 or 5 intervals like this Thursday. This is my attempt to try to build up to a decent 5K speed. I don't know if this will work or not, but I figure the more fast running I do, the faster I will get.
It surprises me that so many barefoot runners continue to stick to the standard american diet. You would think that seeing that shoes are BS, that it would be easy enough to see that the traditional dietary advice is also BS. Yet, that's not the case.
