cold weather
I ran a moderate distance this morning. The temp was 30 degrees, which would have been fine by itself. However, the streets were wet, along with many stretches of sidewalk. Cold is fine on my feet. Cold and wet is painful, quite painful. I ran through a couple puddles, which ratcheted up the pain even more.
I think in the future under the same conditions, I would wear my aquasocks. I'm also considering buying a pair of racing flats for Winter running. I hope to continue to do a majority of my runs barefoot during the Winter, but I will respect the combination of cold and wet that can crop up at times.
